Fit Guide

Bridal sizing 101

Bridal sizing is famously unhelpful. The label size is a starting point; your measurements are what actually determine whether a gown is a good candidate.

Start with bust, waist, and hip

Compare your measurements against the listing measurements before the label size. Bridal sizes often run smaller than street sizes.

Plan on alterations

Most brides need hemming, a bustle, or a small fit adjustment. A gown that is slightly large is often easier to tailor than one that is too small.

Length matters

Most unaltered gowns have a hollow-to-hem around 61 inches, often fitting brides around 5'10"-5'11" with shoes before hemming.
