Frequently asked Questions

A sample is a gown that was displayed in a boutique for brides to try on before ordering new. Samples have never been worn for a wedding and are typically in great to like-new condition. Because they are unaltered, your seamstress has full flexibility to tailor for a custom fit.

Yes—almost every bride needs some tailoring. Common alterations include hemming, adding a bustle, and taking the gown in for a precise fit. We often see alteration costs in the $300–$750 range, depending on your market and scope of work (we don’t provide in-house alterations).

Most gowns can be taken in 1–4 sizes (varies by construction). Letting out is more limited—often ½–1½ inches total and should be done by an experienced bridal seamstress. Message us about a specific listing and include your measurements; we’ll advise what’s realistic for that dress.

Most unaltered bridal gowns have a standard Hollow-to-Hem of ~61”, which works for brides around 5’10”–5’11” with shoes. Shorter brides will hem in alterations; gowns are usually not ideal over 5’11” without ordering long/tall variants (we don’t custom-order through this site).

After your dress arrives, you have up to 10 days to return it for any reason. A $75 restocking fee applies and we’ll email you a prepaid return label once you request the return. (Initiate through your messages and we’ll take it from there.)

How does the Try-at-Home program work?

  1. Request up to three gowns using the Try-at-Home form

  2. We’ll email the agreement and deposit amount within 24 hours

  3. Keep your favorite and send the rest back with the included return label

  4. If you return all three, a $100 restocking fee is deducted from your deposit refund

Details match the program on our site.

Yes. We ship via USPS Priority International and will quote the cost based on your location (most countries are typically ~$90–$150). Import duties/VAT are not included—you’ll pay those directly to your customs authority upon delivery.

Yes—our gowns are sourced from our San Antonio boutique, Olivia Grace Bridal, an authorized retailer for top designers. Every listing is photographed, measured, and honestly described.

We document any notable wear from try-ons (e.g., loose beading, tiny snags, dust at the hem) with close-up photos and plain-English notes, so you know exactly what you’re receiving.

Each listing shows bust, waist, hip and designer size vs. street size. If you’re unsure, message us with your measurements—we’ll help assess fit and suggest alteration expectations.

Payments & Shipping

Orders typically ship out by the next business day Mon-Fri. We try our best to ship out same day for orders received Mon-Fri before 2pm CST time. Standard UPS ground shipping ranges from 1-3 days for most of the US from Texas.
